Have your own pets spayed or neutered, and educate others about the benefits of spaying and neutering. Give your pets the care and love they deserve! Volunteer with Animal Outreach Volunteers are always needed to help with this important cause. From internet research to participating in dog washes, people who want to make a difference in pets' lives will find a volunteer opportunity that suits them with Animal Outreach. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Dog Washes (See how much fun the dog wash can be!) (More events here!) Once a month in the summer, Animal Outreach holds dog washes. The suggested donation for a dog wash is $10 and a nail trim is $5. All proceeds help Animal Outreach promote responsible pet ownership. Volunteer opportunities at these events include: Dog Washers: Must feel comfortable with dogs, holding leashes and getting wet. Please wear comfortable, old clothes/shoes and bring sun block! Nail Trimmer: Need qualified and experienced animal nail trimmer. Greeter: Direct dog-wash customers to the sign in area, track the order of washings (first come first serve), and help pet owners enjoy the wait. Event Marketing: Sending out flyers prior to event, flagging drivers down, signage location, press/media releases. Tabling at Regional Events (See some pictures from events we've tabled at!) (More events here!) Animal Outreach participates in numerous community events throughout the year to raise awareness of the pet overpopulation. Table assistants: Assist with tabling activities like handing out literature, answering questions and supporting Animal Outreach. Creative: Assist with innovative fundraising opportunities. Internet & Data Research Animal Outreach has a variety of research opportunities. Those opportunities include: Grants and Funding: Research application process by grant makers for animal welfare projects/organizations. Other fundraising opportunities available. Animal Organizations: Help develop a comprehensive listing of animal welfare and rescue organizations in Ohio. Statistical Data: Research and analyze information on homeless pet population, pet ownership statistics, spay/neuter information locally and statewide.
